We’re on a mission to help the world’s best businesses grow, and we’re looking for a motivated Machine Learning Engineer to join our team in Amsterdam.

What you'll do

• Research, design, implement, train, and monitor machine learning algorithms for both batch and real-time prediction.
• Tackle a wide range of problems, from on-line learning for optimization decisions to supervised methods for risk patterns, or graph analysis for behavior prediction.
• Develop orchestrated pipelines for analytics and machine learning training.
• Collaborate with MLOps to automate our workflows for experiments, training, and monitoring.
• Innovate on state-of-the-art machine learning algorithms for both merchant and product audiences.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in machine learning and apply what you learn.

Who you are

• You have 5+ years of experience as a machine learning engineer or data scientist.
• You're experienced with the full machine learning model lifecycle in production flows.
• You have hands-on experience building and deploying Deep Learning models.
• You're comfortable with big data frameworks to create the pipelines needed for your models.
• You have a good understanding of software and data engineering practices, along with MLOps principles.
• You know your way around data science, statistics, and machine learning techniques, with a strong grounding in statistical inference, prediction, and causal inference.
• You're familiar with the standard data science toolkit, including (py)spark, (Trino) SQL, Tensorflow, PyTorch, XGBoost/LightGBM, Pandas, MLFlow, or similar MLOps frameworks, and Airflow.
• You have an experimental mindset with a "launch fast and iterate" mentality, and extensive experience designing and running experiments.
• You proactively take the lead on projects, from ideation to deployment, and can clearly communicate complex outcomes to a wide range of stakeholders.

This is a full-time position based in our Amsterdam office, and it requires relocation if you are currently living outside of the Netherlands.
