Impact Team

The Giving product is built by the Customer Experience Impact team. With the Giving product we remove all barriers to doing good. With no fees for either the merchant or the charity, and with low to no integration work, we ensure that the donation transaction doesn’t affect the merchant’s financial records. This prevents any additional burden for our customers' finance teams. Online and in-store, we provide a simple, powerful way for them to strengthen their brand and complete the cycle of commerce with a meaningful act of giving, creating a ripple effect of positive change. As a Team Lead Software Engineering in the Impact team, you will play a role in solving one of Adyen’s most significant strategic challenges by shaping the future of Giving. Helping to define our company-wide Giving strategy and steer technical strategy and direction.

What you will do

• Together with product and partnership, lead the Giving product strategy Collaborate with Product teams to design and implement strategies that will allow us to meet the demands of a rapidly growing payments platform.
• Lead a team of engineers that design, scale, maintain and operate our product built on top of Adyen’s distributed high-performance platform. Reliability and resilience is of highest standard.
• Maintain an inclusive team culture focused on autonomy, ownership, collaboration, communication, and impact.

Who you are

• 7+ years experience in people management in a highly technical, complex and high pace environment.
• Technical depth with the ability to credibly lead a group of talented engineers within risk-based release cycles, coupled with a product-oriented perspective and keen understanding of commercial strategy to support Adyen’s next phase of growth.
• Product-oriented engineering leader, with a keen understanding of commercial strategy.
• A hands-on leader who sets a high bar, ensuring the team consistently delivers solutions that are defined by high-quality code, engineered for scale.
• Comfortable with, and able to work through ambiguity.
