Frontend Software Engineer, Marketing

One of our main goals at Adyen is to build the most customer-oriented solution on the planet. We want to enable peer-to-peer marketplaces, on-demand services, crowdfunding platforms, and other platform business models to maximize their competitive advantage through integrated financial products and services.

You will be part of one of our digital experiences development team, creating or enhancing public applications that provide value-driven experiences through validated user focused journeys. Some examples of these applications are Adyen public website, official Demo Tool, Brand Asset Management.

You will have the freedom to identify and improve parts of the platform to make it more consistent, robust and scalable.

What You'll Do

• Develop and maintain public applications using JavaScript and modern JavaScript frameworks, particularly Vue.js and Nuxt.js.
• Create and manage serverless functions to support dynamic web applications.
• Design and implement component libraries, contributing to and maintaining a comprehensive design system.
• Build and optimize websites using static site generation (SSG), server-side rendering (SSR), and hybrid rendering techniques to enhance performance and SEO.
• Ensure web applications meet accessibility standards and provide the best possible user experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conduct A/B testing and experimentation to drive improvements in site performance and user engagement.
• Stay current with the latest web development trends and best practices to continually improve the development process.

Who you are:

• You're a Software Engineer with two or more years of experience in JavaScript, while knowledge of different frameworks Vue 3, Nuxt 3/4 is a big plus.
• Expertise in designing and using component libraries, including defining and implementing design systems.
• Experience in creating and optimizing animations for web components and webpages, enhancing user interactions and visual appeal is a plus.
• Understanding of static site generation, server-side rendering, and hybrid rendering approaches.
• Experience with web accessibility standards, web performance optimization techniques is a plus.
• You recognize yourself in the Adyen Formula: being open-minded, having a proactive attitude, and always trying to make things work while keeping the bigger picture in mind.
• You actively share your knowledge and enthusiasm to develop yourself and your team and are comfortable with asking for and receiving constructive feedback.
• You independently gather technical requirements and create a plan to execute those requirements.
• You're a collaborative team player; you like connecting and communicating with your team members and other stakeholders to achieve the best solution possible.
