Implementation Manager
Adyen is looking for an Implementation manager with a solid understanding of and hands-on experience with technology, integration design, project management and a strong customer focus. As an Implementation manager, you will be the primary point of contact for our merchant's technical teams, guiding them through the design, development, testing, and launch phases of their integrations with Adyen's platform. Your focus will be on ensuring an exceptional merchant experience throughout the project lifecycle.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse projects that encompass various e-commerce payment solutions. By leveraging your technical proficiency and business acumen, you will play a vital role in guaranteeing a smooth implementation process and maintaining open lines of communication with our merchants and internal teams. The ideal candidate is both consultative and technical. This position is based in our Sydney office, with possible opportunities to travel across Asia and beyond to assist our merchants and interface with other global offices.
What You’ll Do
- Act as a technical consultant to merchant, applying development expertise to deliver scalable, robust integrations aligned with payment best practices.
- Partner consultatively with merchants across verticals such as e-commerce, point of sale, and platform-based solutions to guide successful integrations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Account Management, Product, and Engineering to deliver seamless merchant experiences and drive continuous improvement.
- Leverage Projectment management frameworks & skills to manage and oversee high-quality integration projects, ensuring technical accuracy and delivery standards are met.
- Collaborate with Sales Managers and support pre-sales efforts by defining technical solutions, gathering requirements, and ensuring integration readiness prior to project kickoff.
- Provide consultation on optimising payment solutions, including checkout, authentication, omni-channel payments, and onboarding, while working with Developers and Product Managers to improve the platform.
- Contribute to product feedback loops by gathering and evaluating merchant input and communicating insights to Product and leadership teams,building strong relationships internally and externally.
Who You Are
- Demonstrated ability to rapidly learn new technologies and understand complex systems (e.g., Web APIs, databases, SDKs, SQL, JavaScript, HTML), with a strong desire to continuously improve technical acumen & skills.
- Experience integrating with Web APIs and/or providing technical consultation during integrations; familiarity with the payments industry is advantageous.
- Strong communication skills, with confidence leading discussions with senior stakeholders and the ability to clearly articulate practical solutions to complex integration challenges.
- Self-motivated and able to be highly productive with minimal supervision; able to make informed decisions and effectively prioritise competing internal and external requests.
- Strong project management and consultative skills, with a high level of attention to detail.
- Proven ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments.
- Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
