As Senior Manager, Financial Partner Risk, you'll be a crucial bridge between Airwallex's risk strategy and our global financial partners. You'll collaborate with key stakeholders, influence decision-making, and ensure our risk appetite aligns with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

What you’ll be doing:

• Be the Expert: Serve as the go-to authority on risk-related matters for our financial partners, including major card schemes and payment transfer methods. Articulate Airwallex policies and practices with clarity and confidence.

• Drive Compliance: Secure necessary approvals and design controls to support new products and business expansion, ensuring alignment with partner obligations and industry best practices.

• Build Trust: Foster strong relationships with financial partners, earning positive feedback and acting as a trusted advisor on risk management.

• Create Resources: Develop comprehensive playbooks to educate external partners on our risk management processes and policies.

• Mitigate Risk: Proactively identify and address potential risks, preventing escalations and facilitating swift resolution of any concerns.

What you’ll bring:

• Educational Foundation: Bachelor's degree in risk management, financial engineering, or a related field.

• Risk Management Experience: 8+ years of experience in at least one area of risk management (e.g., credit, fraud), with a preference for well-rounded candidates with expertise in multiple areas.

• Financial Institution Experience: 5+ years of experience with a scheme partner (Visa, MasterCard, American Express, China Union Pay) or major commercial bank.

• Communication Excellence: Proven ability to represent the company to external parties, with strong influencing and presentation skills.

• Fintech Experience (Preferred): Experience in a startup or fintech environment is highly valued.

• Collaborative Spirit: A self-starter who thrives in cross-functional teams and excels at independent problem-solving.

• Enterprise Risk Management Understanding (Plus): Knowledge of enterprise risk management principles and practices is a bonus.

• Advanced Qualifications (Plus): A master's degree in a quantitative field, an MBA, or relevant certifications (e.g., CAMS, CFA) are advantageous.
