Responsibilities:

As a Senior Software Engineer at Airwallex, you will:

- Design and develop scalable software applications or systems that meet end-user requirements and ensure robust architecture and maintainability.

- Conduct comprehensive testing and quality assurance to identify and rectify errors, ensuring the software aligns with quality standards and functions effectively.

- Perform ongoing maintenance and troubleshooting for deployed software, implementing updates and enhancements to improve functionality and address evolving needs.

- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including project managers, business analysts, and UI/UX designers, to ensure project alignment and timely delivery.

- Engage in continuous learning to stay abreast of emerging technologies, programming languages, and development methodologies, enhancing the quality and efficiency of software solutions.

Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess:

- A minimum of 5 years of engineering experience

- Extensive understanding of software development lifecycle, with experience in building frameworks or tools for various stages

- Proficiency in Kafka or other data streaming platform

- Hands-on experience with at least one programing language

- Commitment to best practices in engineering, security, and design

Preferred Skills:

- Data streaming engineering experience

- Knowledge of kubernetes

- Prior experience working with data streaming platform such as Kafka
