About the team

The risk platform team at Airwallex is responsible for managing the risk for all the products at Airwallex, including GTPN, Payment, Issuing, Onboarding, and Account takeover. The risk landscape is constantly changing, and fraudsters are becoming increasingly sophisticated. We are at the forefront of innovation in risk management.

What you’ll do

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will collaborate closely with ML engineers and data analysts to design and implement a scalable risk data warehouse. Your expertise will drive the development of risk data governance standards and high-quality data assets, enabling data-driven decision-making across the organization.

This role is based in "Singapore".

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and optimize ETL pipelines across multiple database systems.

2. Design and build real-time and offline risk data warehouses to support analytical and operational needs.

3. Construct risk profiles for various entities, including but not limited to: Namelists, Risk indicators, Risk flags, Risk features

4. Continuously monitor and enhance risk data quality and integrity.

5. Partner with ML engineers to develop and deploy advanced machine learning models.

6. Collaborate with the risk engine team to evaluate and integrate third-party data solutions.

Who You Are

We're looking for people who meet the minimum qualifications for this role. The preferred qualifications are great to have, but are not mandatory.

Minimum qualifications:

1. At least 3+ years focused on the data engineering domain. Risk data engineering experience is a plus.

2. Bachelor’s or above degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.

3. Strong proficiency in programming languages Python and SQL, which are commonly used in data engineering and ML.

4. Experience with data warehouse building, data governance. Risk portrait building or feature engineering experience is a plus.

5. Experience with ML projects is a plus.
