About the job

Business Development Manager, Melbourne

Why Join Us

For too long, Finance teams have been stuck managing corporate spend using legacy tools designed for a different era. We saw growing companies relying on shared credit cards, chasing paper receipts, and manually reconciling expenses in spreadsheets. It was a friction-filled process that wasted time and leaked money.

We built Archa to solve this. We are not a bank; we are a technology company building the smartest corporate card and spend management platform in the market.

Working at Archa

This role is perfect for someone looking to grow their career with first-hand experience at a dynamic, fast-growing company. The sense of impact will be massive, and we will support you to make sure this is a highly rewarding role.

You’ll be a part of a hard working, collaborative, highly intelligent team. We’re committed to diversity, inclusion, and an overriding view that the status quo isn’t necessarily the way forward. We’re a fast moving, resilient team, focused on improving the financial operations of our customers. We’re comfortable being uncomfortable, and take an ownership mindset to our targets and challenges.

We’ll make sure you are empowered with everything you need to have a massive impact at Archa, and to grow your career. Everyone at Archa receives mental and physical wellbeing support, a significant personal development budget, 5 weeks of leave per year (including one to learn something new), plus your own Archa card for work expenses.

Commercial at Archa

Archa’s Commercial team brings together Sales, Marketing and Partnerships, and is responsible for how we take our product to market and drive sustainable growth. We’re a growing, collaborative and high-performing team focused on helping fast-growing businesses free up time and operate more effectively.

We win business via direct Sales channels, through our growing list of referral partners and via our pre-built integration partners. We collaborate closely with Product & Operational teams to ensure the customer experience is the best it can be.

Your role

Based in our Melbourne office, you’ll play an important role in driving Archa’s growth as part of our Commercial team. As a Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for identifying, engaging, and converting new customers across our target segments, while helping shape how we expand into new industries and customer profiles.

This role combines proactive prospecting with collaborative selling. You’ll generate new opportunities through a mix of cold and warm outbound strategies, alongside working closely with our integration and referral partners to co-sell into our joint ICPs. This includes coordinating outreach with partner sales teams and guiding prospects from initial engagement through to conversion.

You’ll collaborate closely with our Partnerships team on joint initiatives and campaigns, and represent Archa externally through events, webinars, and partner activities. These market-facing efforts help build awareness and credibility with prospective customers and advisors while supporting both self-sourced and partner-sourced pipelines.

We’re looking for someone who is commercially curious and outcome-oriented, comfortable owning a pipeline and progressing opportunities independently while also contributing to team goals. You’ll be confident engaging with a range of stakeholders, from Founders and Finance Managers to senior decision-makers, and you’ll bring structure and organisation to how opportunities are prioritised and progressed.

Your insights from customer conversations will help inform our sales approach, product direction, and market positioning, ensuring Archa continues to evolve in line with customer needs and growth opportunities.

Requirements

  • 4–6+ years’ experience in a B2B sales or business development role, ideally within SaaS or Fintech.
  • Comfortable building and managing your own pipeline, including self-sourced outbound activity as well as converting inbound and partner-generated opportunities.
  • A consultative, value-based selling approach - confident uncovering customer problems, quantifying impact, and clearly articulating Archa’s value back to founders, finance teams, and advisors.
  • Strong discovery and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage a range of contacts from operational users through to business owners and senior decision-makers.
  • Experience running structured sales processes across multiple conversations and touchpoints, and maintaining clear pipeline hygiene and forecasting discipline.
  • Highly organised and self-directed, able to prioritise activity, manage competing opportunities, and maintain consistent follow-through
  • Comfortable representing the company externally through events, webinars, and partner interactions
  • A customer-first mindset, with a focus on long-term relationships rather than purely transactional outcomes
  • Curiosity and coachability. You actively seek feedback, continuously improve your sales craft, and adapt your approach as we refine our go-to-market strategy

Nice to have

  • Scale-up experience. Sometimes the earth moves beneath your feet at Archa so you've got to be able to wear lots of hats when needed, and adapt easily as we continue to grow

We look forward to hearing from you.
