Lead Product Manager

The Lead Product Manager for Business Banking is responsible for shaping the multi-year vision for the Business Banking products , aligning it with existing business banking strategies and securing resources through strong business cases. The role involves engaging with key stakeholders, including bank executives and customers, to translate needs into actionable product requirements and ensure cross-functional alignment for timely delivery. Additionally, the Lead PM mentors other Product Managers, fosters a collaborative and innovative team culture, and works across departments to influence roadmaps based on commercial banking needs. The ultimate goal is to drive measurable outcomes such as acquiring new clients, increasing ARR, reducing churn, and enabling upsell/cross-sell opportunities.

Please note: we operate in a hybrid work model, so all candidates must be based in Kraków.

As the Lead Product Manager for Business Banking, you are responsible for:

1.Roadmap development:

• Define the multi-year vision for the Business Banking offering also taking into account the existing business banking offerings and the acceleration based on that.
• Back up the big ticket items with a business case and why Backbase should invest in those to secure the resource allocation and priority needed to be successful.

2.Stakeholder management:

• Engage with key customers up to C-Level leadership to understand their needs and translate them into actionable product requirements.
• Regularly interface with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and timely delivery.
• Internal alignment with C-level executives to explain strategy and execution, taking into account the wider company strategy.

3.Team leadership:

• Guide and mentor other Product Managers, ensuring their goals align with the broader organizational strategy.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability.

4.Cross-departmental influence:

• Collaborate with departments like Digital Assist, Onboarding, Lending and Payments to influence their roadmaps based on commercial banking needs.

5.Driving outcomes:

• Ensure the solution achieves measurable outcomes, such as new clients, increased ARR, low customer churn and up-sell/cross sell.

• Strong background & experience in Business Banking domains like cash management, liquidity management, forex, collections, treasury management etc.
• Strong experience in Product Management roles. At least 5+ years experience as a product owner/manager in a digital, cross-functional Agile (scale-up) environment, used to manage across different locations & cultures.
• You have a proven experience in a lead product management role, preferably for B2B/Enterprise software solutions and a range of technical products.
• You are customer-obsessed, and bring a mix of technical, business and UX know-how to your squads.
• You have strong understanding of sales and commercial / product marketing dynamics and can act as a confident Subject Matter Expert to guide development of products to support these areas.
• You have a distinctive, strategic mindset and ability to prioritize and delegate high numbers of tasks with varying workload and importance.
• You are passionate, self-driven and constantly pushing toward clarity and delivery while balancing the need for great collaboration.
• You prefer executing smart experiments with an outcome focused on challenging assumptions and learning, over personal opinion.
• You are able to build, manage and inspire a product team that consistently delivers our product roadmap on time and at the highest quality level.
• You are able to navigate ambiguity and rapidly adapt to shifting priorities.
