As Senior Engineer you take the product to the next level. You develop software, creating clean and maintainable code which helps with building an expanding product. Your tailor-made code seamlessly integrates our products with customers’ systems. You ensure our solutions are tested, accessible, extensible, maintainable, secure and perform well. You have great attention for detail, and can help principals and leads get a perspective on the full picture. In this role, you work in an empowered team of highly skilled software developers, QA engineers, scrum masters, and product owners. You get the opportunity to provide guidance to other Software Engineers, and you are encouraged to introduce your own ideas and challenge others.

You take the lead in the development of software, focusing on functional and non-functional aspects, and are responsible for the end deliverables of your squad.

You may work in any of our development teams, either building the products with our rnd squads to consulting with our customers and implementing projects in our customer success teams. You may take the role of team lead, having the responsibility to onboard, guide and coach new team members, and ensure that all the work within the scope of your workgroup is performed in accordance to the Backbase guidelines, and in alignment to the indications of the Principal Frontend Engineers of your department or value stream.

You develop web applications using a modern, responsive stack and tooling and work closely with the product owner, developers and QA engineers to shape the product, analyse requirements and ensure our software is high quality. You are expected to actively contribute to Backbase's way of working and public knowledge base, by creating and reviewing training materials and/or documentation.

You provide guidance to Frontend Engineers, and you collect and refine proposals from the team.

• Min 5 years of experience in a similar role;
• Bachelor in Information Technology, Computer Sciences or similar/related technical field, or equivalent practical experience;
• Excellent English speaking, writing and presentation skills
