We have an exciting opportunity for a Sales Development Representative to join Banjo, a leading national FinTech based in the heart of Melbourne CBD.

The Role
We are currently looking for a Sales Development Representative to join the sales team, working collaboratively across the organisation. This role is close to the action, with front line contact with finance brokers, accountants and clients, reviewing client scenarios and applications for finance. As part of the Banjo Sales Team, the Sales Development Representative – Direct / Business Loan Specialist will pro-actively seek new business opportunities for Banjo, by managing inbound leads from a variety of campaigns and lead generation channels. They will utilise their sales skills and finance knowledge to support partners and clients throughout the sales pipeline process. They will also engage in outbound campaigns via cold calling, email and social, and utilise their sales skills to support clients and partners throughout the sales pipeline process.
You likely will have come from a Banking & Finance (or Professional Services background) and be eager to join a growing FinTech business that’s really making a difference. You possess strong sales skills and a hunger to achieve and smash targets and take pride in assisting Australian SMEs and helping them grow. The organisation is going through a period of growth and change, and you will be enthusiastic about joining Banjo on this exciting journey.
Knowledge of the credit life cycle (application, structuring, portfolio management & collections) as well as operational risk & compliance would be beneficial and some experience in client relationship management from prior roles will also be highly valued.
This role will also provide you with the opportunity to learn and have hands-on experience engaging in all areas of a FinTech business.
About you
· Previous experience in a sales or customer service role within financial or professional services is beneficial, with relationship management experience also being desirable
· Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
· Strong interpersonal skills, great work ethic & attention to detail
· Ability to work autonomously & form trusted relationships with fellow team members and clients
· A passion for learning
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where quality and speed are both essential
· Demonstrated experience with engaging with SME owners, brokers and accountants
Responsibilities
Inbound Sales
· Manage inbound sales leads from a variety of marketing campaigns and lead generation channels.
· Identify a prospect’s needs and suggest appropriate solutions to solve their problems.
· Qualify leads in line with Banjo’s credit appetite and criteria.
· Effectively manage a pipeline of clients using a variety of sales strategies and negotiation techniques.
· Support clients and partners throughout the loan application process, making proactive calls to achieve the fastest outcomes possible.
· Regularly engage with referral partners to increase the volume of new leads and improve conversion rates.
· Update referral partners on new products and eligibility criteria.
Outbound Sales
· Proactively contact prospects via cold calls, email and social media.
· Participate in ongoing sales and marketing campaigns.
· Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels that will lead to an increase in sales.
· Work with internal team to develop campaigns and proposals that address client’s needs and objectives.
Other
· Represent Banjo at industry functions, such as association events and conferences.

· Work with Marketing teams to support campaigns and other activities engaging finance brokers & accountants.
