Working closely with the Head of Strategy, Senior Strategy Managers and broader leadership team, the role provides analytical rigour and practical support across enterprise strategy, market assessment, strategic initiatives and M&A activity.

The role is well suited to a high calibre early career professional seeking exposure to executive level strategy, governance and decision making within a regulated financial services and payments environment. You’ll also make an impact by:

  • Supporting defined workstreams within the development and refinement of Cuscal’s corporate strategy, multiyear strategic roadmap and annual corporate planning process.
  • Conducting rigorous analysis of industry trends, customer needs, competitive dynamics, regulatory developments and emerging technologies, translating findings into clear insights and implications.
  • Developing high quality analytical outputs, including market scans, competitor analysis, financial and commercial assessments, and scenario analysis.
  • Assisting in the preparation of executive and Board level materials, including strategy papers, presentations, and decision memos, ensuring clarity, accuracy and executive ready presentation.
  • Supporting strategic reviews, deep dives and strategy offsites through structured analysis, synthesis and documentation.
  • Supporting the tracking and monitoring of enterprise-wide strategic initiatives, including progress reporting, risk identification and issue escalation.
  • Assisting in the preparation and coordination of Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and other strategic governance forums.
  • Helping translate strategic priorities into clear milestones, metrics and deliverables, supporting disciplined execution and transparency.
  • Supporting the assessment of potential partnerships, alliances and acquisition opportunities aligned to Cuscal’s strategy.
  • Contribute to strategic fit assessments, market sizing, competitor benchmarking and high-level commercial analysis.

To succeed in this role, you’ll have:

  • 1–3+ years’ experience in strategy, management consulting, corporate development, financial services, banking, payments, technology or a related analytical role.
  • Strong analytical foundation, with experience in market analysis, financial analysis, research or structured problem solving.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel, with the ability to produce clear, well structured, executive ready analysis and presentations.
  • Strong written communication skills, able to synthesise complex information into clear, concise insights.
