Job Description

Your Opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Manager, Finance Regulatory Reporting to join our Group Finance & Planning division!

Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting and Control, this role is accountable for the end-to-end preparation, governance, and submission of all APRA regulatory returns and related finance regulatory deliverables for the Cuscal Group.

The role operates as the responsible owner of the Line 1 Finance function relating to APRA’s prudential frameworks, owning the operational execution, controls, reconciliations, substantiation, and management attestations for regulatory data.

The role ensures the Bank’s regulatory reporting is accurate, complete, timely, and auditable, supported by strong governance, well-designed controls, effective issue management, and continuous uplift of processes.

You’ll also make an impact by:

  • Own the monthly/quarterly/annual APRA reporting calendar and manage end-to-end delivery
  • Prepare, review, and submit regulatory returns via the relevant APRA channels/tools (as applicable), including:
    • Capital adequacy / RWA (e.g. APS 110/112)
    • Liquidity returns (e.g. Minimum liquidity ratios)
    • Other ARF reporting forms for an ADI
  • Produce related ALCO reporting and other executive level packs and analysis as required (e.g. Board Audit Committee to support year-end)
  • Ensure submissions are internally consistent (across forms, periods, and with financial accounts/GL) and supported by documented workpapers
  • Co-ordinate the delivery of the following documents to the Board committees for approval:
    • Group Internal Capital Adequacy Assessment Plan (ICAAP) Summary Statement and Report;
    • Recovery & exit plan
    • Related entities related policies
  • Interpretation of prudential and reporting requirements and their impact to the Group.
  • Ensure appropriate alignment between:
    • Capital & liquidity prudential requirements
    • Financial reporting outcomes; and
    • Internal governance and risk appetite frameworks
  • Forecasting for the Group’s capital adequacy and minimum liquidity holdings prudential requirements
  • Support the delivery of the annual APS 310 regulatory audit
  • Build effective working relationships across Treasury, Risk & Compliance, and Finance.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring

You’ve got an analytical mind, with exceptional attention to detail. You’ve got excellent communication skills and work productively in a high-pressure environment and are keen to contribute to a dynamic team.

To succeed in this role, you’ll have:

  • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in an ADI environment
  • At least 3 years in a leadership role within the banking or financial services sector
  • Strong understanding of capital and liquidity prudential concepts
  • Advanced Excel skills; Intermediate MS Word / PowerPoint skills
  • Strong knowledge of APRA prudential frameworks relating to an ADI
  • Excellent analytical and strategic problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in managing change (e.g. with systems or processes)
  • Relevant university degree (Bachelor Commerce) or equivalent tertiary qualification
  • CA/CPA qualified

Although not required, you’ll stand out from the crowd with any experience in the following:

  • Experience in implementing regulatory reporting systems
  • Experience producing financial results analysis for senior management
