Job Description

Your Opportunity

Note: This is a 12-month Maximum Term Contract.

We’re looking for a Senior QA Engineer to work within our Issuing domain and on our delivery team.

As the Senior QA Engineer, you'll be responsible for the creation and execution of effective end-to-end test cases for all products to ensure the functionality and integrity of the product and systems. This position also contributes to other related processes including testing applications using manual and automated scripts, entering testing evidence into the system and generating reports from this as required.

You’ll also make an impact by:

  • Design and create effective end-to-end test cases using the prescribed template and defined acceptance criteria to ensure systems respond as predicted.
  • Establish the test environment for new products and existing product upgrades or enhancements
  • Execute test plans against prescribed processes to identify defects or bugs
  • Refine test case criteria to effectively scrutinise and target the testability and functionality of the system.
  • Develop, maintain, and execute automated test suites for new and existing products
  • Engage and build robust working relationships across the business and with subject matter experts in order to establish system requirements and functionality so appropriate testing can be applied.
  • Establish an in-depth understanding of system functionality and the SDLC within an agile software development framework.
  • Generate regular reports on testing outcomes.
  • Conduct regular quality control reviews on testing to ensure methodologies are up-to-date.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring

To succeed in this role, you’ll have:

  • 5+ years of experience within a similar role with some experience working with the banking and financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of Behaviour-Driven Development (BDD) and experience with BDD frameworks (e.g., Cucumber, SpecFlow).
  • Proficiency in Selenium for test automation.
  • Sound knowledge SQL
  • Solid understanding of Agile methodologies and experience working in Agile environments.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following:

  • Experience within Payments Industry
  • Familiarity with financial systems, processes, and regulations.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab).
  • Understanding and worked within AWS environment.
