Job Description

Join us as a Financial Crime Officer – Be on the front line of Fraud Prevention

Are you ready to make a real impact? We’re looking for Financial Crime Officers to join our Client, Growth & Strategy Division as frontline Fraud Fighters, helping protect customers and stop fraud in its tracks.

Your opportunity

In this role, you’ll play a critical part in protecting customers’ financial wellbeing. You’ll be the first line of defence against fraud, combining sharp analytical thinking with outstanding customer service to identify and act on suspicious activity. Financial Crime Officers achieve this by providing exceptional customer service when interacting with our client's customers through inbound and outbound phone calls as well as ensuring all alerts and necessary escalations of potential fraud cases are completed in a timely manner.

You’ll also make an impact by:

  • Handle customer interactions via inbound and outbound calls, ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Accurately and timely complete outputs from fraud detection systems, addressing all alerts and fraud cases as needed.
  • Liaise with internal departments to assist in the mitigation of fraud.
  • Proactively analyse transactional data to identify fraud trends and risks.

This is a 24/7 environment, so you’ll be part of a rotating roster covering day, night, and weekend shifts to help us support customers at all times.

Qualifications

What you’ll bring

You’re a strong communicator who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service, you perform strongly in fast‑paced environments and enjoy contributing to dynamic teams.

To succeed in this role, you’ll have:

  • Previous experience providing customer support, ideally within the banking industry or within a fraud team.
  • Understanding of the key current and emerging financial crime risks and impacts.
  • An understanding of or a high-level interest in the key principles of financial crime management.
  • Availability to work ~38 hours per week on a rotating 7-day roster.

You’ll stand out from the crowd if you have some of the following:

  • Sound knowledge of card related product (credit / debit cards, proprietary cards)
  • Experience with Card Fraud Detection tools
