Responsibilities
- Collaborative Excellence: You'll collaborate closely with service teams to elevate the reliability and efficiency of workloads and services, all while adhering to SRE practices
- War Games and Beyond: Get ready to organize and participate in wargames and gamedays, contributing to our constant quest for improvement
- Observability Champion: Enhance our observability practices and tooling, ensuring we maintain a watchful eye over our distributed services
- CI/CD Evolution: You'll play a pivotal role in developing and refining our CI/CD processes, aiming to enhance our release cadence and success rates
- Toil Terminator: Automate those toilsome tasks by building and consuming the toil backlog, freeing up valuable time for innovation
- Knowledge Guardian: Document your valuable insights and processes, sharing knowledge to empower your colleagues
- Incident Mastery: Champion sustainable incident response practices and promote blameless postmortems, fostering a culture of learning and growth
- Coding for Improvement: Your coding skills will shine as you write code that not only enhances scalability and performance but also elevates maintainability and security
- Monitoring Maestro: Implement best practices in distributed monitoring, refining processes, configurations, and thresholds
- SLI/SLO Scribe: Contribute to the identification and implementation of service level indicators and objectives for our workloads and services, ensuring we're always on track
Requirements
- Senior Engineers: You come armed with a proven track record in the realm of highly scalable, distributed systems, and your expertise shines through in the projects you've tackled over the past 5 years
- SRE Savvy: You've not only dabbled but thrived as an SRE actively engaged with development teams. Your deep understanding of SRE methodologies and philosophies is non-negotiable
- AWS Wizardry: Your mastery of AWS cloud is second to none. You ideally boast experience in orchestrating multi-region workloads and hold an extensive knowledge portfolio encompassing commonly used AWS services
- Observability Pro: You bring to the table solid experience in observability, particularly with distributed services. Concepts like distributed tracing are well within your domain
- Independent and Driven: You're the kind of professional who can work autonomously and self-directed. You need minimal supervision to thrive and excel in your role
- Programming Power: Your programming and automation skills are top-notch. Python and Golang are your allies in crafting solutions that enhance scalability, performance, maintainability, and security
- SDLC Savvy: You comprehend the ins and outs of the software development lifecycle, a vital component in our complex ecosystem
