DESCRIPTION

We're looking for a Senior Spark Engineer to join our team and help developing a cutting-edge platform, which allows macroeconomists and investment analysts from the world's largest hedge fund to conduct research and modelling.

In a team of 20+ people you will create an interactive product to help analysts and domain experts manipulate Big Data and produce governable, sustainable models.

What You’ll Do

• Solve tasks related to language design, low-level code optimization, storage of bitemporal data and protocols for online collaboration with the DSL
• Automate requests and utilize cloud infrastructures
• Optimize distributed computing

What You Have

• 6+ years of hands-on engineering experience in a relevant role
• Qualifications in Spark and open systems
• Understanding of Resilient Distributed Datasets (RDD) and multithreading computer architecture knowledge - deadlocks, concurrency control, schedulers, etc
• Competency in SQL and database internals
• Familiarity of distributed systems – RPC, naming servers, transaction processing, etc
