Calling all Azure FinOps Specialists! We have an exciting opportunity to work with a prestigious client based in Zürich aiming to help planning the steps of an important cloud cost optimization project.

This dynamic role involves defining optimization steps and the scope for a potential high scale optimization process. The substantial challenge lies in planning the cost-effective migration of multiple applications and fresh implementations from on-prem, ensuring effective cost control on Azure.

Responsibilities

Assess the current Cloud FinOps reports
Build Azure Workbooks and KQL queries to help identify cost leakage within a line of business (100+ subscriptions involved)
Define optimization steps and the scope for a potential high scale optimization process
Build automation meant to solve common cost problems like right-sizing of resources, auto-scaling of resources etc
Have technical meetings with the application teams hosted on the Azure platform to understand their cloud usage patterns and their technical necessity

Requirements

Strong knowledge of Microsoft Azure and its various services, including general costs associated
Excellent understanding of infrastructure design and implementation
Strong knowledge of Cloud Finops
Experience with Azure DevOps to enable continuous integration and deployment
Good understanding of Kusto Query Language
Proficient communication skills in English are a must, while knowledge of the German language is a significant advantage
