As an Enterprise Data Steward, you'll shape the future of our organization's data landscape.

By collaborating with business stakeholders, you'll decode intricate business processes and comprehend data's role. With system teams, you'll identify key data sources and distill the intricacies of existing data models. While working with the Data as a Service team, you'll be integral in crafting advanced enterprise data models and policies.

This role requires relocation to Georgia. Upon joining the project, you may consider further relocation to Hungary or Bulgaria.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with stakeholders across various departments to understand business processes and data requirements
• Design and develop data models that accurately represent the organization's business processes and support its strategic objectives
• Deal with engineers to create technical artifacts for data models
• Create documentation and guides for models, policies and data governance
• Design data models that are suitable for a decentralized data mesh
• Establish extensional data organization and management standards, ensuring adherence to industry best practices and regulatory requirements
• Provide guidance and support to development teams in implementing data models and integrating them into existing systems and applications
• Cooperate with the data mesh team on how to implement and use these data models
• Be in contact with data source teams on how to publish, collaborate and extend the models

What You Have

• Proven experience working as a data architect or in a similar role, preferably in a large enterprise environment
• Strong proficiency in data modeling techniques and tools, with expertise in Avro
• Programming experience in working with data models, protocols
• Database knowledge: experience with databases, no-SQL/document-based systems, big data, and BI systems
• Data modeling skills to analyze and define relationships between the data the business collects, uses and the business process that uses these models
• Understanding of concepts around data management: data quality, lineage, cataloging and discovery
• Data warehousing experience and background with technologies such as ETL, OLAP vs OLT and schema design
• Technical writing skills while creating technical documents and guides for users of the systems
• Proficiency in technical languages and tools commonly used in data architecture, such as SQL, Python
• Experience in developing and implementing data governance frameworks and standards

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud platforms and technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
