Conversational Research & Design Specialist Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Conversational Research and Design Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in crafting intuitive and compelling conversational interfaces that deliver exceptional user experiences for our clients in Zürich. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, conduct research and design conversational interactions that resonate with our target audience. Your expertise in conversational design principles, user research methodologies and UX/UI best practices will be essential in driving the success of conversational projects. The role requires a mix of remote and on-site work in a hybrid model.
Responsibilities
- As a successful candidate, you will:
- Lead user research initiatives to understand user needs, behaviours and preferences related to conversational interfaces
- Define conversational strategies and design principles based on user insights, industry best practices and emerging trends
- Design flows for specific intents, design Intents by gathering requirements, detailing user stories and building repair flows
- Maintain clean, modular, readable conversation design documentation for an assistant that’s able to scale across multiple domains, channels and languages in a conversation design tool
- Write dialog that fits brand guidelines, but also creatively stretches them where it makes sense
- Conduct moderated and unmoderated usability tests and incorporate feedbacks
- Develop and document a clear and repeatable processes and mentor the team about them
- Stay current on innovations in conversation design and curious about how to help businesses assess their content governance, workflows and organizational structure
Requirements
- Expertise in User Research and in UX Design
- At least 2 years of experience working with chat or voice assistants to be able to present your ideas to executives and to explain and defend your process
- Have designed or built at least one conversational assistant (using any tool set)
- Experience crafting chat and voice assistant demos
- Experience with Natural Language Understanding (NLU) systems is a huge plus
- Has worked on the business side and understands the value CAI projects bring
- Experience with conversation design software like Voiceflow, Cognigy, Kore.AI, Human First, Rasa is nice to have
- Fluent in both German and English (at least C1 level)
