We are looking for a Senior Data Analyst to join our team which is working with modeling of a Common Data Model solution for our client with various data sources. The project is at the stage of identifying, understanding and documenting data sources for future successful data modeling. The final goal of the project is to improve current data architecture and ensure a meaningful level of connectedness of data products within data domains and business domains in medallion architecture.

You will be focused on data source analysis, data profiling, and the creation of source-to-target mapping for different domains. Collaboration with the analytics domain and potentially business teams is possible. The role may include aspects of data modeling and data management.

Stakeholders are in the US and UK, occasional Business trips to the UK might be required.

The remote option applies only to the Candidates who will be working from any location in Ukraine.

Responsibilities

• Conduct the analysis of data sources and grow the data source domain knowledge
• Conduct data profiling and develop source-to-target mappings
• Participate in data modeling and data schema design tasks
• Document data requirements and conduct data analysis
• Collaborate with various teams to gather information about the data
• Conduct data quality control checks on manipulated data

Requirements

• Strong understanding of SQL
• Understanding of concepts around data management: data quality, lineage, cataloguing, and discovery
• Experience working with large, complex data sets
• Strong analytical skills
• Documentation skills
• Critical thinker with a proven problem-solving track record
• Databricks environment understanding as a plus
• Upper-Intermediate or higher English level, both spoken and written
