We are looking for a Senior Python Developer with proficiency in AWS to join our team remotely.
This role involves offering technical leadership to our skilled developers. Your responsibilities will include driving and partnering in the software development lifecycle, and providing strategic guidance and solution patterns. Collaborating with business analysts and customers to optimize requirements, you will ensure the feasibility of the design and its integration with existing systems/platforms. You will work closely with developers to review and validate key functionalities, while offering constant support for a suite of applications managing pricing, trading, hedging, pooling, and shipping among other functions, depending on the department.

Responsibilities

• Technical leadership contribution and team collaboration throughout the software development lifecycle
• Collaboration with business analysts and customers for requirement optimization
• Assurance of design feasibility and its integration with existing systems/platforms
• Validation of key functionalities and integrations in collaboration with developers
• Ongoing support provision for a suite of applications managing various functions depending on the department
• Contribution to the continuous refinement of the software development process
• Collaboration with other teams to address architectural gaps and build systems
• Facilitation or active participation in multi-team or multi-subproduct scrum activities and rituals, assisting with understanding

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years' relevant experience in software development
• Expert knowledge of Python 3, Object-Oriented Code & Design Patterns
• Proficiency with SQL, NoSQL databases, and REST APIs
• Proficiency with Git and unit test writing experience
• Experience with Event Driven Systems & Microservices
• Strong knowledge of AWS and serverless technologies
• Infrastructure as Code experience (Cloudformation & CDK)
• Mastery of at least one major skill outside of core coding such as monitoring, documentation, security, integration testing, visual design, DevOps, performance optimization
• Agile, Scrum, Jira methodologies, and DevOps Practices (CI/CD, Automated Pipelines) experience
• Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• English fluency with an upper-intermediate level or above

Nice to have

• Extensive experience with Python frameworks (e.g. Fast API, Flask, Django)
• Experience in the Financial Services and Mortgage industry
