We are currently seeking a Middle DevOps Engineer to join our remote team. The role principally involves managing multi-cloud configurations predominantly using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), supplemented by some tasks on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Duties will include analyzing incoming requests, clarifying specifics, updating build spreadsheets, requisitioning subsequent tier permissions, and monitoring progression. The DevOps Engineer's responsibilities encompass provisioning resources for all fresh cloud migrations/deployments, restricted to ecosystems and initial-stage approvals for standard requests.
Responsibilities
- Manage multi-cloud configurations primarily using GCP and some workload on AWS
- Provision resources for all new cloud migrations/deployments and ecosystems only provisioning which includes resources in Jenkins, Vault, Git, Artifactory, AppGate entitlements, projects/accounts in GCP & AWS, with initial-stage consent for standard requests
- Examine and refine incoming requests, update spreadsheets, requisition subsequent tier permissions, and monitor progression
- Provide support during cutover/migration and participate in war room discussions for troubleshooting tasks
- Collaborate with diverse teams to fulfill project objectives
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years in a DevOps role with experience of multi-cloud setups
- Practical experience with CI/CD, Google Cloud Platform, and Terraform
- Comprehensive understanding of access permission provisioning, firewall, API, Quota, other request processing, and GCP Label Change tickets
- Capabilities in troubleshooting connection/permission issues and effectively implementing fixes
- Experience in supporting during cutover/migration and participating in war room discussions for troubleshooting tasks
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams
- Fluency in English both in writing and speaking, preferably with upper-intermediate level proficiency for effective communication with teams and stakeholder
Nice to have
- Prior exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, or other equivalent containerization technologies
- Proficiency in Amazon Web Services, Ansible, and Jenkins
