As a Senior Consultant within our ESG & Sustainability team in Berlin, you will take the lead in advising our client businesses across Retail, FMCG, and Oil & Gas on integrating ESG principles into their operations & reporting. You'll harness data analytics tools and grasp technologies such as SAP, Oracle, and Microsoft to generate actionable insights and guide clients in implementing sustainable strategies. Working closely with a diverse team, you will analyse ESG trends, devise improvement plans, and oversee project execution with agility and precision.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate a robust network within industries like Retail, FMCG, and Oil & Gas, nurturing collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
• Collaborate with clients to develop tailored ESG strategies and initiatives that align with their business objectives and sustainability goals
• Support wider strategy in shaping enterprise-wide, transformational ESG Data & Analytics solutions
• Assess clients' ESG performance across key areas such as environmental impact, social responsibility and corporate governance
• Provide strategic guidance and recommendations based on data insights to help clients enhance their ESG performance and reputation
• Engage with clients' internal stakeholders, including senior executives, sustainability teams and investors, to gather insights and align ESG initiatives with organizational priorities
• Facilitate workshops, presentations, and discussions to raise awareness of ESG issues and promote a culture of sustainability within client organizations
• Work closely with wider teams to ensure successful delivery through an integrated delivery model
• Stay abreast of emerging trends, regulations and best practices in ESG reporting and data analytics

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, ideally in a field of environmental science, sustainability, business analytics or project management
• Fluent English and German speaker considered advantageous
• Experience as a Project Manager or Senior Consultant with strong analytical skills with the ability to derive actionable insights from complex data sets
• A proven track record of successfully delivering ESG advice and spearheading sustainability projects with agility and pragmatism
• Draw upon your strong experience in sustainability initiatives, demonstrating a keen understanding of data analytics and technology integration
• Strong understanding of ESG principles, frameworks (e.g., SASB, GRI, TCFD) and reporting standards
• Hands-on experience in leveraging technology to drive sustainability initiatives forward
• A genuine passion for sustainability and a commitment to driving positive environmental and societal impact
• Business understanding of ESG regulations and emerging trends, translating them into actionable strategies tailored to each client's needs
• Employ your exceptional communication skills to convey tailored advice to clients and provide effective coaching to team members
