Responsibilities

• Enable rapid financial service business and security model changes within a rapidly evolving department
• Adapt to take on increasing levels of responsibility as the department undergoes significant changes
• Tackle challenging and varied problems related to gaining further maturity in Data Platform tools, processes, and engineering capabilities
• Focus on engineering excellence to deliver high-quality solutions that provide leverage for the company's objectives

Requirements

• Experience in Implementation and Operating Big Data technologies (Direct experience with Databricks required, Apache Spark) and familiarity with data architecture patterns
• Deep technical knowledge and comfortable coding in Scala and Python
• Experience operating and evolving data & release management pipelines
• Experience with Spark Structured Streaming
• Familiarity with Azure/AWS/EC2 cloud deployment models
• Ability to analyze and support complex data systems, including rapid resolution of business-critical issues during assigned on-call shifts
