DESCRIPTION

This is a key position with responsibilities that have a significant impact on our operations and project outcomes. We are looking for someone with robust technical skills and the capacity to lead and inspire our team of developers.

What You’ll Do

Lead a team of developers in the design, development, and implementation of software applications using Java, Spring Boot, Kafka, and FIX. Ideally familiar with the B2BITS products
Promote and enforce the use of coding standards and best practices within the team to ensure code quality and maintainability
Communicate with project managers and stakeholders to understand and implement project requirements, and provide regular updates on project progress
Actively participate in the entire application lifecycle, from the concept stage until delivery and post-launch support
Conduct code reviews and mentor junior team members to enhance their skills and efficiency
Collaborate with other team leads and developers to address system integration needs and challenges
Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency and improve team performance
Contribute to architectural decisions and implement scalable and reliable systems
Troubleshoots complex issues and provides support in bug fixing during all stages of application development
Drive innovation and adaption of best practices in software development within the team

What You Have

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field
7+ years of Java development experience, with a focus on backend development
Proficiency in Apache Kafka and its ecosystem, along with solid understanding of data streaming concepts
Experience with distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms
Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
