We are seeking a Middle DevOps Engineer to become part of our remote SRE team, with a focus on sustaining a CI/CD framework, assimilating observatory stack, backing applications and assisting product teams in resolving issues, and enhancing product reliability and automation.

You will be expected to scrutinize and comprehend how all elements of a distributed system function cohesively using a wide array of skills and tools. Successful candidates for this role should be self-sufficient individuals with decision-making capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Upkeep and enhancement of the LightOps monitoring system
• Management of incident troubleshooting, resolution, documenting, and post-incident analysis
• Development of knowledge sharing and playbook
• Acting as a liaison between operations and engineering teams
• Oversight of infrastructure performance and capacity planning
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams for project goal attainment
• Engagement with mentor for ongoing learning and development of both technical and soft skills

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in a DevOps or Site Reliability Engineer role
• Profound understanding of Google Cloud Platform and its offerings
• Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes for containerization
• Proficiency in Python
• Experience in infrastructure performance and capacity planning
• Knowledge of NAT, DNS, and DHCP
• Proficiency in using Git and PagerDuty
• Database skills, specifically MongoDB, Oracle, and PostgreSQL
• Experience in disaster recovery, including backup geo-redundancy and recovery scripting
• English proficiency at an upper-intermediate level (B2+)

Nice to have

• GCP certification
• Experience with Grafana and Prometheus for observability and monitoring
• Strong programming skills in Golang
• Familiarity with Elasticsearch
