We're on the hunt for an exceptionally skilled and driven Chief Commerce Developer to join our dynamic remote team.
As part of our team, you will be responsible for creating and implementing high-performance eCommerce solutions tailored to our clients' business objectives. We're looking for someone with an in-depth understanding of eCommerce platforms, industry best practices, and emerging trends. This individual should exhibit impressive problem-solving capabilities, robust communication skills, and a passion for crafting innovative solutions.
Responsibilities
- End-to-end eCommerce solution design that aligns with client business goals, technical requirements, and industry norms
- Development of architecture blueprints, technical specifications, and integration plans
- Evaluation and recommendation of eCommerce platforms, frameworks, and technologies based on client needs, scalability, and performance
- Technical leadership and guidance provision to cross-functional teams throughout project lifecycles
- Design and execution of integration solutions for eCommerce platforms with third-party systems, payment gateways, and various enterprise applications
- Optimization of eCommerce solutions for performance, scalability, and reliability
- Implementation of security measures to protect eCommerce platforms from cyber threats and ensure compliance with industry regulations
- Definition and implementation of quality assurance processes to maintain high software quality standards
- Preparation of technical documentation and user guides, and conducting training sessions on solution architecture and best practices
- Driving of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance development processes, tools, and automation
Requirements
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- At least 1 year of experience in an eCommerce Tech Lead role or similar, with a focus on eCommerce-Composable- solution design and implementation
- Expertise in eCommerce platforms like Shopify, WooCommerce, or custom solutions
- Proficiency in one or more platforms such as CommerceTools, BigCommerce, Contentful, and Contentstack
- Deep understanding of MACH architecture, including headless commerce, microservices architecture, and API-first approaches
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript (Node.js), Python, or Go
- Familiarity with frontend frameworks and libraries such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Knowledge of RESTful APIs, web services, and integration patterns
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Nice to have
- Experience in developing and implementing SEO strategies
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
