Senior Application Support Engineer Description

We are looking for a Senior Application Support Engineer to join our remote team and provide comprehensive support for our micro-services-based application deployed on AKS.

In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting issues, and bug fixes, and ensuring smooth operation of the application.

You will work with a range of technologies, including Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, ServiceNow, Azure Application Gateway, Azure Application Insights, and more. You will also be involved in mobile client application troubleshooting for iOS and Android, and participate in calls and chats with customers to troubleshoot issues.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive application support for our micro-services-based application deployed on AKS
  • Monitor and troubleshoot issues, bug fixes, and ensure smooth operation of the application
  • Participate in calls and chats with customers to troubleshoot issues and provide support
  • Develop and modify queries and alerts in Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
  • Document RCA and provide recommendations for improvements
  • Automate maintenance operations using scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, and Kusto Query Language

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in application support, troubleshooting, and maintenance operations
  • Strong experience in Azure Monitor, Dynatrace, and ServiceNow
  • Experience with Azure Application Gateway, Azure Application Insights, and Azure DevOps
  • Good knowledge of HTTP, HTTPS, Kubernetes, Proxy Servers, and nginx
  • Experience in developing SQL queries and monitoring alert notifications
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English at a B2 level

Nice to have

  • Experience with ITSM, including incidents management, problem management, and change management
  • Experience with Confluence
  • Experience in using scripting languages: PowerShell, Bash, Kusto Query Language
