We are seeking a Lead Azure DevOps Engineer to join our remote team. This position emphasizes the construction and safeguarding of our Azure cloud environments.

The role involves collaborating with our development and infrastructure teams to incorporate cloud security best practices into our Azure framework. This unique opportunity allows for interaction with innovative technologies and the chance to strongly influence the security of our cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Designing and implementing Azure cloud security solutions using an infrastructure-as-code approach
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate security best practices into Azure infrastructure
• Creating and maintaining secure, compliant cloud environments
• Setting up monitoring and alerting tools in cloud environments for detecting security incidents and vulnerabilities
• Deploying access management and security controls in cloud environments to comply with security standards
• Ensuring cloud environments and applications comply with security and regulatory standards
• Providing guidance to other teams on cloud security best practices
• Staying current with emerging cloud security trends and technologies
• Conducting regular security assessments and audits on the cloud infrastructure
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of cloud security processes and procedures

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in roles related to cloud security engineering
• A demonstrated history of leading and mentoring a team of engineers
• Expert-level knowledge in Azure cloud security, with hands-on experience in an infrastructure-as-code approach
• Experience in deploying security controls for cloud environments, including monitoring, alerting, and access management
• Proficiency in using Git for version control and continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Azure DevOps or similar tools
• Solid understanding of container orchestration technologies like Docker, Kubernetes or Openshift
• Experience in setting up monitoring and alerting tools in cloud environments
• A thorough understanding of web infrastructure fundamentals including DNS, Load Balancing, SSL, TCP/IP, networking, security best practices, performance, high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity
• Fluency in written and spoken English

Nice to have

• Experience with both relational and non-relational databases, such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Cosmos DB or HyperScale
