People Operations Specialist Description
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking to make a new addition to our people team and hire a People Operations Specialist in Ghent who will play a key role in supporting EPAM continued growth through people programs, processes, policies and practices that enable EPAM to attract, develop, engage, leverage and retain talent in highly competitive markets in the region. We are searching for a capable and hard-working professional who already proved themselves in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- As a People Operations specialist you will work in an international EPAM People Operations team, but you will be locally located in Ghent, Belgium and you will be the point of contact for all employees and managers there
- Focus on various soft HR topics, including onboarding, offboarding, wellbeing and learning & development. You will also support the team with hard HR tasks when needed
- Cultivate a positive relationship with all staff members, fostering active engagement across the board
- Assist new joiners, providing crucial support and counselling to facilitate smooth integration into the team
- Collaborate with various departments including global mobility, talent & acquisition, office management and IT to streamline people management and enhance employee experiences
- Take responsibility for creating and updating regular and ad-hoc HR reports and presentations
- Assist in the planning and implementation of events, while also spearheading employer branding, wellness, ESG and CSR initiatives
- Participate in merger & acquisition projects, ensuring seamless post-merger integrations
- Seek opportunities to improve processes and proactively find solutions during challenges to maintain operational efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor or master’s degree in human resources with 2-3 years of HR experience in the technology sector or a similar industry
- Strong understanding of employment rules, regulations and Labour law
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to adapt to new technologies
- Demonstrated passion for people's development and happiness and a proven track record in fostering positive team environments
- Proactive and positive mindset, with the capability to work independently
- Resilient and agile, with the ability to adapt to a dynamic environment and manage pressure efficiently
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on providing effective solutions
- Ability to collaborate with diverse, international teams and build enduring relationships
- A strong commitment to continuous learning, improvement and adapting best practices
- A consultative approach, highlighting the ability to engage people and focus on solution-oriented approaches
- You are fluent in Dutch and English. French would also be an additional advantage
