We're looking to welcome a committed remote Lead Performance Test Engineer to our team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in assessing the capacity, stability, and scalability of third-party applications before their integration into our client's system.

In this role, you will create and implement tests with the goal of ensuring the systems function at peak performance, thereby delivering superior service to our clients. Being part of our remote team, you are expected to effectively work in unison with other team members, who are mostly based in North American time zones.

Responsibilities

• Execution of performance and load tests to ensure systems function at peak performance
• Creation and maintenance of performance test plans, scripts, and test data
• Establishing performance testing frameworks with continuous test data storage and trend analysis
• Cooperation with the development team to pinpoint and resolve performance issues
• Involvement in defect triage discussions and the ability to question development's priority perceptions
• Effective communication in a startup-like environment with team members

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years experience in Performance Testing, with a strong emphasis on analysis and testing fundamentals
• Proven track record of leading and mentoring a team of engineers
• Proficiency in Performance Testing Tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar
• Familiarity with REST API testing and test data generation
• A solid understanding of Generative AI and its applications
• A proven track record in creating and executing high-quality performance test plans
• Capability of setting up performance testing frameworks with continuous test data storage and trend analysis
• Experience in stubbing/mocking dependencies to facilitate testing
• Competency in monitoring testing environments and identifying performance issues
• Capability to be involved in defect triage discussions and question development's priority perceptions
• Effective communication skills in a startup-like environment with an Upper-Intermediate level of English proficiency

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines
