Our company is seeking a Lead Content Strategist with 8-12 years of experience to join our team.

In this role, you will be responsible for developing and executing content strategy for our products, ensuring that our content is useful, accessible, and natural-sounding for our users.

You will have advanced working expertise in Figma and be able to draw from a variety of content strategy frameworks to address complicated human problems across screens and product areas.

Responsibilities

• Crafting long-form articles for the EGDS documentation site
• Development of atomic-level content component and pattern documentation
• Offering product voice/tone guidance and examples
• Building robust relationships with cross-domain content owners for a cohesive product + brand experience
• Determining content workflows and processes
• Documentation of best practices for product content
• Sourcing and mapping content for new product experiences
• Production of polished Figma flows and PPT presentations for content critiques and stakeholder reviews
• Definition and delivery of end-to-end content strategy for product experiences
• Execution of content audits, competitive evaluations, and heuristic assessments of product content usability/accessibility
• Conceptualization, writing, testing, and delivery of in-product content using human-centered design methods
• Creation of content wireframes and sketches, empathy maps, affinity diagrams, and related HCD artifacts
• Development of voice flows and ML/AI prompts and guardrails
• Writing long-form articles for Help Center and Destination Guides
• Documentation of end-to-end content decisions in polished Figma files for stakeholder feedback and engineering handoff
• Contribution of scalable, reusable standards for content mechanics, tone, style, and accessibility

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related discipline
• 8-12 years of experience in content strategy and design
• Expertise in writing useful, accessible, and natural-sounding product UI content in American English
• Advanced working expertise in Figma, including content-specific plug-ins such as Ditto
• Advanced presentation and storytelling skills, including PPT creation
• Competent facilitation and workshopping skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365
• Baseline understanding of headless content management systems and GitHub
• Working understanding of AI/ML for content design, including NLU development, designing for generative AI, and prompt engineering
• Strong relationship building skills and a 'one team' mindset
• Growth mindset and first-principles thinking
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English at a B2 level
