Lead Full Stack Developer (Node.js) Description
We are currently seeking a technically proficient, highly motivated Lead Full Stack Developer (Node.js) for our team.
This individual will work alongside other technology enthusiasts to help tackle some of the most complex issues within the industry. The team that you will be a part of works in close coordination with our product and business partners. Together, we aim to create cloud-based technology solutions that transform the customer loan experience.
Responsibilities
- Involvement with internal and external systems during the design, implementation, development, and documentation of projects
- Collaboration with the team in recommending, evaluating, and making technology decisions
- Creation of scalable, reliable, reusable solutions of high quality in a cloud-based environment
- Active engagement in an Agile/SCRUM environment, fostering knowledge sharing among teams
- Participation in code and architecture reviews both within and across teams
- Promotion of new technologies, architectures, and processes to boost the quality of our outputs
- Contribution towards a culture and environment that values integrity, trust, feedback, and continuous improvement
- Application of the AWS ecosystem of services to develop and deliver business value
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering discipline is desirable but not mandatory
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in Software Development, including a minimum of 1 year in a leadership role
- A deep understanding of modern JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js
- Familiarity with React and related front-end technologies such as Redux, webpack
- Experience in a microservice-oriented environment
- Proficiency in serverless technology architecture, development, and delivery, preferably using AWS Lambda, AWS API Gateway, AWS EventBridge
- NoSQL experience, preferably AWS DynamoDB
- Experience in cloud-based security, preferably AWS services such as AWS Cognito, AWS Secrets Manager, AWS GuardDuty
- Experience with DevOps infrastructure-as-code, preferably AWS CDK, AWS SAM
- A solid understanding of common design patterns and principles
- Deep knowledge of Git and common Git workflows like GitFlow
- Profound knowledge of TDD and BDD
- Experience with CICD pipelines
- Experience working with feature flags
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective interaction with cross-functional team members
- Experience in designing and developing complex, robust, and highly scalable production services and applications using modern frameworks, tools, and systems
Nice to have
- Experience with AWS Simple Notification Service and AWS Simple Queue Service
- Familiarity with AWS CloudFormation
- Knowledge of Amazon Kinesis and Amazon Redshift
- Experience in developing serverless applications using AWS Step Functions
