Senior Go Developer Description

A Senior Go Developer is being sought to become part of our remote team.

The role of a Senior Developer involves daily cooperation with stakeholders and fellow software engineers. The primary task is to develop microservices and event-driven systems that can handle the pressure of millions of requests daily and manage databases containing billions of records. Additional responsibilities include undertaking straightforward DevOps tasks to support services. The perfect candidate will possess robust problem-solving skills, show a proactive attitude, take accountability for their work, and be able to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Daily collaboration with stakeholders and software engineers
  • Development of microservices and event-driven systems that handle high volumes of requests
  • Management of databases containing billions of records
  • Undertaking of straightforward DevOps tasks in support of services
  • Proactive behavior and accountability for results, with an eagerness to learn
  • Independence in work and effectiveness in task completion post receipt of all necessary requirements and information
  • Investigation and asking of follow-up questions for clear understanding
  • Effective prioritization of work without the need for direct oversight
  • Clear and concise explanation of technical solutions and ideas

Requirements

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Developer, with a strong focus on Golang
  • Proficiency in working with Redis, PostgreSQL, or similar SQL databases
  • Familiarity with Amazon SQS, Amazon SNS, and Amazon S3, or equivalent cloud services
  • Familiarity with monitoring and alerting tools like Grafana, New Relic, or Sentry
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks efficiently
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to investigate and ask follow-up questions
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Clear and concise communication skills in English

Nice to have

  • Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
  • Knowledge of Kubernetes and Terraform
  • Familiarity with Elasticsearch and ELK stack
  • Experience with Amazon DynamoDB and Application Load Balancing
