We are looking for a DevOps Engineer who will focus on platform engineering and implementing the processes that automate our client’s microservice deployments.

The principal objective is to enhance efficiency through the automation of CI/CD processes.

Our CI/CD framework operates on an automated creation of templated pipelines, application scaffolds, and a standardized infrastructure and deployment model. This allows developers to avail a self-service experience.

The ultimate aim is to build systems that can deliver this particular service to our engineers, as well as offer them daily support.

Responsibilities

• Enhance efficiency through the automation of CI/CD processes
• Design, implement, and test the processed for automating microservices deployments
• Handle CI/CD & VCS solutions, primarily Atlassian suit (Bitbucket and Bamboo) to setup and maintain automation processes for software builds and deployments
• Construct Docker images as required, applying understanding of the inner workings of containers
• Utilize Amazon Web Services including S3, ECS, ECR, and RDS to support cloud-based application needs
• Apply advanced knowledge of Infrastructure as a Code (IaC) using Terraform to automate the provision and management of cloud resources
• Employ container orchestration tools such as ECS and Nomad to manage application deployments and ensure application scalability and reliability
• Administer routing/proxy services using tools like Nginx, Krakend, Traefik to provide secure and efficient networking for applications

Requirements

• Programming skills in any language (understanding how to compile apps, work with package managers, and run apps on the cloud)
• Experience in CI/CD & VCS solutions, preferably Atlassian suit (Bitbucket and Bamboo)
• Docker - building images
• Experienced in AWS (S3, ECS, ECR, RDS)
• Advanced in Infrastructure as a Code (Terraform)
• Container orchestration (ECS, Nomad)
• Routing/proxy (Nginx, Krakend, Traefik, etc.)
• Good communication skills in both spoken and written English (B2+)

• Possession of AWS Certificate
• Familiarity with Backstage.io
