Responsibilities

Implement analytical solutions using Spark/PySpark, NoSQL, and other Big Data technologies
Collaborate with product and engineering teams to gather requirements and guide decisions
Maintain connections with architects, technical leads, and key personnel in various functional groups
Analyze business problems and technical environments to implement high-quality technical solutions
Engage in code review and test solutions to align with best practice standards
Create project documentation

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years in engineering, with a background in Data Management, Data Storage, Data Visualization, Operation, and Security
Proficiency in at least one programming language: Python, Java, Scala, or Kotlin
Solid experience with SQL and familiarity with Big Data tools, especially Spark/PySpark and optionally Hadoop, Hive, and Flink
Strong knowledge of Cloud Solutions for Data environments such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
Understanding of CI/CD and software development within Big Data technologies
Experience in software development for Big Data including administration, configuration management, monitoring, debugging, and performance tuning
Familiarity with data ingestion pipelines, Data Warehousing, and Data Lakes
Experience with data modeling and development of scalable, available, and fault-tolerant systems
Analytical approach to problems along with excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Motivated, independent, and efficient; able to work under pressure and set priorities
Familiarity with Containers and Resource Management systems like Docker, Kubernetes, and Yarn
Experience in direct customer communications

Nice to have

Experience with Event Streaming tools such as Kafka, Pub/Sub, Kinesis, Events Hub
Familiarity with Orchestrator tools like Airflow and Databricks
Knowledge of Snowflake
