We are seeking a seasoned Senior Java Developer to join our client, a multinational technology company. Experience with Kotlin will be a huge advantage.

Enjoy the best of both worlds with a hybrid model, spending 3 days each week collaborating directly at the office in Sofia, Bulgaria.

Our team members work in multiple scrum teams, up to 8 engineers each, supported by Client engineers. They design solutions, implement them, review, deploy and troubleshoot if needed. They plan work and take huge ownership of what all do (we do not wait for others to point out what to do, we act and drive the process). The team work directly with the Client stakeholders and engineers having their constant contribution to our work (no issues with communication!).

What You’ll Do

• Develop top-notch (like Spring Boot 3, Kotlin, Gradle, Docker, Kubernetes, gRPC, OpenAPI, and more) and high-quality APIs for the Client Project - mobile and web applications
• Be a part of large EPAM Client team that contains dozens of dozens of great developers
• Join most critical initiative for Client’s project, deliver work that matters a lot
• Work directly with the customer and business to facilitate any inquiries regarding development
• Learn or improve your GCP skills
• Perform code reviews
• Have impact on technology we choose, ideas we implement, and quality of products we deliver
• Review existing code and be ready to dive to some non-Java services or clients as well (be independent with that)
• Analyze existing code and help the team prepare for a large GCP migration

What You Have

• 3+ years hands-on-experience with Java and/or Kotlin
• Experience with microservice architecture (design, implementation, delivery, troubleshooting)
• Cloud experience, especially with GCP, is highly desirable
• Openness to work directly with the customer and business to facilitate any inquiries regarding development
• Readiness to learn or improve your GCP skills
• Review existing code and be ready to dive to some non-Java services or clients as well (be independent with that)
