We are looking for a Senior Python Developer to join our remote team. As a senior developer, you will be an integral part of our team, working on a project to migrate a big data platform to the cloud. You will be responsible for designing and implementing scalable and efficient data processing solutions using Databricks and Elasticsearch, managing NoSQL databases, and developing and maintaining Python and SQL data pipelines. Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the team to develop scalable data processing solutions using Databricks and Elasticsearch
- Management of NoSQL databases, ensuring quality, accuracy, and consistency of data
- Development and support of data pipelines using Python and SQL
- Migration of data from local environments to the cloud using Amazon Web Services and other cloud technologies
- Implementation of best practices for modeling, storing, and retrieving data, ensuring high productivity and efficiency
- Optimizing data processing and management workflows, identifying and implementing improvements
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to the development of engineering best practices
- Effective communication and collaboration with stakeholders, including product managers, data analysts, and other programmers
Requirements
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in data software engineering, proficient in Python and SQL
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related field
- Extensive experience with Databricks and Elasticsearch for distributed data processing
- Deep understanding and hands-on experience with NoSQL databases and data modeling principles
- Experience with cloud platforms, in particular Amazon Web Services, and data migration from local environments to the cloud
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to solve complex data-processing tasks
- Excellent communication skills, including verbal and written English at Upper-Intermediate level or above
Nice to have
- Experience with Amazon DynamoDB and Apache Hive for data management and processing
- Expertise in Apache Spark for distributed data processing
- Knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools such as Redash for continuous integration and delivery
