We are in search of a Chief Software Development Engineer in Test to be part of our Infrastructure Operations team, providing support to our client within the Gaming Industry.

In this capacity, you will be tasked with ensuring the quality and reliability of online services enjoyed by over 500 million gamers globally. Collaborating with a proficient team of engineers, you will enhance developer experience through the provision of robust tools and platforms that promote faster, safer, and more efficient development, operation, and scaling of applications.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of 6 DevOps engineers to carry out performance testing on Perforce (P4)
• Implement various components on AWS and create lead testing scripts as needed
• Perform performance testing on AWS infrastructure and gather results
• Create, evolve, and sustain automated test frameworks and scripts
• Detect, isolate, and record bugs and issues within the system
• Offer technical advice and mentorship to less experienced team members
• Engage with development teams to grasp features and technical implementation
• Uphold quality standards and best practices
• Engage in code reviews and aid in the continuous enhancement of processes
• Keep abreast of new testing tools and methodologies

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years in a software testing or development role
• At least 2 years in a relevant leadership role
• Profound experience with Perl or Python
• Proficiency in working with AWS
• Demonstrated expertise in performance testing
• Acquaintance with version control systems, preferably Perforce
• Solid grasp of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, TestNG, or JUnit
• Understanding of CI/CD processes and tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or CircleCI
• Capability to craft clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Nice to have

• Background in containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum development methodologies
• Certifications in Quality Assurance or related fields
