We are seeking a Senior Performance Test Engineer to assess business processes, test, and identify performance issues in complex business solutions comprising multiple integrated systems.

The ideal candidate will provide expert guidance and direction in the area of business application performance, demonstrating quick learning capabilities, creativity, and effective communication skills to convince others based on technical facts and details.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute performance tests understanding both functional and non-functional requirements
• Analyze complex system architectures and develop creative solutions to performance problems
• Document test results, analysis, and processes thoroughly
• Provide guidance on performance optimization across various business applications
• Work independently and take full ownership of assigned tasks
• Collaborate with development teams to enhance system performance
• Identify and troubleshoot system bottlenecks
• Mentor junior performance test engineers
• Continuously update knowledge on industry trends and best practices in performance testing

Requirements

• Overall 5+ years of experience with a minimum of 2 years in performance testing
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Profound Computer Science background
• Strong experience in using Performance testing tools like JMeter
• Working knowledge of SQL
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Perl, or Java
• Familiarity with Linux environments including strong bash skills
• Understanding of TCP/IP, SSH, OS bottlenecks identification, and hardware monitoring tools
• Solid grasp of latency concepts, memory, CPU utilization, multi-threading, cache, and memory management
• Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned tasks
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to document test results, analysis, and processes

Nice to have

• Experience with event-driven applications (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka)
• Experience with Continuous Integration tools like Jenkins
• Knowledge of PostgreSQL DB performance, SQL tuning, and system administration
• Familiarity with monitoring tools, embedded OS tools, and any Application Performance Management (APM) tools
• Experience with .NET profiling
