Senior Java Engineer with ETL Description
We are seeking a skilled Senior Java Engineer with ETL experience to join our dynamic teams in Krakow, Wroclaw, or Warsaw.
In this role, you'll collaborate with our Data Warehouse team to design, build, and maintain a cutting-edge data warehouse hosted in the Cloud. You will play a critical role in developing ETL/ELT data pipelines and work alongside other talented data engineers in a supportive and strategically focused environment. Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust ETL/ELT pipelines using Composer (Airflow), Java Dataflow (Beam), and other technologies on Google Cloud
- Collaborate closely with data analysts and other stakeholders to analyze source data and determine necessary data for representation in output table schemas
- Create and update comprehensive technical documentation to support data engineers, data analysts, and security engineers
- Engage in investigative research to identify technical solutions and establish best practices for data warehouse and associated ETL/ELT pipelines
- Contribute to the optimization and scaling of data-processing capabilities to enhance performance and efficiency
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in information science, information design, computer science or equivalent industry experience
- Expertise in ETL/ELT techniques for data warehousing, including data source investigation, target schema design, and data pipeline implementation
- Competency in delivering ETL/ELT solutions to BigQuery
- Background in Java programming with at least 2 years of relevant experience
- Skills in Apache Beam, preferably within Google Cloud Dataflow, using Java
- Understanding of Google Cloud Composer and familiarity with Python scripting
- Proficiency in Google Cloud Cortex
- Excellent interpersonal communication talents
- Ability to write clear, concise, well-reasoned technical documentation in English (B2+)
