We are seeking an Application Support Engineer specializing in Calypso with using Java programming to join our team. The successful candidate will work with our client based in Singapore.

The role is to support the Calypso back-office package, both in project mode and maintenance, as well as supporting the "run the bank" functions for our client. He/she will require a deep understanding of the nature of business operations, timing of activities & data flowing through internal and external systems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory and governance policies during changes
• Establish and maintain change freeze periods during critical business cycles
• Monitor performance metrics after each release to verify improvements
• Document and archive all changes for audit and compliance purposes
• Update and communicate change calendars to all stakeholders
• Facilitate regular change advisory board meetings to discuss upcoming changes
• Develop and maintain a clear change management process to ensure minimal disruption
• Own the change approval process and ensure all changes are authorized before implementation
• Implement effective rollback plans in case of failed changes
• Assess and manage risks associated with changes before implementation
• Ensure effective communication and coordination between IT and business teams during changes
• Provide post-implementation support and gather feedback for continuous improvement
• Provide training and updates to IT staff and end-users about new changes and enhancements
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate the success of change implementations
• Review and update change management policies and procedures regularly to align with best practices and business needs

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Proven experience in Java, PL/SQL, and Linux
• Minimum 5 years of experience with Calypso version 16, specializing in Back-office functionality and customization of various modules
• Strong understanding of financial assets (FX, money market, cash) and the trade lifecycle
• Experience with regulatory reporting, such as MMSR
• Willingness to participate in on-call rotations for night and weekend support
• Fluent English communication skills at a B2+ level
