Responsibilities
- Design and develop data pipelines for efficient data ingestion and processing
- Optimize data processing tasks for improved performance and scalability
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and implement effective solutions
- Ensure data quality and integrity by integrating data quality checks into pipelines
- Conduct data modeling to support business requirements and analytical needs
- Engage in client-facing activities, including communication and requirement gathering
- Implement and maintain data observability and monitoring solutions
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of data software engineering best practices
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in Data Software Engineering
- Proficiency in SQL, Python, and Spark/PySpark for building and optimizing data pipelines
- Solid understanding of AWS, with the ability to read S3 from Python and basic knowledge of IAM
- Hands-on experience with data pipelines, ingestion from various data sources and formats
- Strong communication skills and client-facing experience
- Fluent English language skills at an Upper-Intermediate level
Nice to have
- Experience with Databricks, including Delta Lake, Unity catalog, and workflows
- Knowledge of additional AWS services and features
- Good data modeling skills
