We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Senior Systems Engineer to join our team. In this exciting role, you will play a pivotal part as the Subject Matter Expert (SME), closely working with our IT department and Data Scientists in a global drug development context. If you have extensive knowledge and experience in advanced Linux concepts, operating system concepts, and have previously worked on the installation, upgrade, and patching of RStudio Workbench, Connect, and Package Manager, this could be the ideal role for you.

This position offers remote setup with the flexibility to work from any location in Georgia, whether it's your home, well-equipped offices in Tbilisi and Batumi or a coworking space in Kutaisi.

Responsibilities

• Take part in package upgrade automation projects for the R Suite Environment
• Handle administration and troubleshooting of R Studio installations and related environment
• Collaborate with existing service teams to tackle open problems/incidents

Requirements

• Hands-on experience as a Systems Engineer / DevOps / SysAdmin or in a similar role
• Solid knowledge of advanced Linux concepts and operating system concepts
• Proven experience in installing, upgrading, and patching of RStudio Workbench, Connect, and Package Manager

Nice to have

• Experience with Easybuild
• Software and application development experience
• Knowledge of container solutions both on-premises and in the cloud
• Experience managing Python and R environments
