Lead Cloud Engineer (Microsoft Azure) Description
We are seeking a skilled Lead Cloud Engineer to join our Cloud Security and Infrastructure (CSI) team, with a focus on Microsoft Azure.
The ideal candidate will be accountable for guiding the technical direction, architecture, and deployment of solutions in the Azure environment. This role requires a forward-thinking, independent, and decisive individual able to make educated decisions to ensure optimal system performance and security.

Responsibilities
- Guide the design and architecture of scalable, secure cloud solutions on Microsoft Azure
- Oversee and upkeep Azure cloud environments, ensuring compliance and brand alignment
- Oversee integrations with products such as SAuth, MRB, CCM, NTM, and BSI through REST APIs and web portals
- Boost system performance using Azure monitoring and alerting tools
- Provide operational support, identify, and fix issues
- Create and update automation scripts utilizing Python and PowerShell
- Uphold cloud security best practices throughout the infrastructure
- Promote the adoption of SRE practices including SLA, SLI, SLO, RCA, and postmortem analyses
- Conduct Linux system administration tasks to enhance system efficiency
- Manage the deployment and supervision of containerized applications using Kubernetes and Docker
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in cloud engineering roles
- 1+ years of significant leadership experience
- Proficiency in Kubernetes and Docker containers
- Qualifications in Microsoft Azure and Linux administration
- Background in scripting with Python or PowerShell
- Expertise in monitoring and alerting technologies within Azure
- Competency in implementing SRE best practices
- Understanding of distributed systems architecture and associated technologies
- Capability to work independently and make informed decisions when required
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform
- Background in using OpenShift and Istio platforms
- Understanding of Prometheus monitoring system
