We are actively seeking a Middle Project Manager to become an integral part of our remote team serving a prominent Financial company. This role will actively participate in the company's transformation process toward the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). The ideal candidate will introduce and enforce Agile practices as the client and program propel towards higher levels of maturity. This is a unique opportunity for those who enjoy navigating the complexities of project execution in a constantly evolving environment, have a deep appreciation for Agile methodologies, and are skilled in fostering synergic team collaborations.

Responsibilities
- Manage and provide leadership to the Scrum team leveraging Agile methodologies and Scrum practices
- Possess proficiency in project management software to ensure efficient project execution and control
- Maintain strong vigilance over project timelines and ensure adherence to the same
- Proactively identify, report, communicate, and escalate risks when necessary
- Assume an active role in daily team or project activities to ensure satisfactory progress
- Eliminate blockers preventing project progress and mentor the team on handling impediments
- Responsible for the collection and regular reporting of relevant project metrics
- Efficiently host and facilitate meetings to ensure objectives are met
- Manage project scope and collaborate with product owners to maintain a healthy backlog
- Actively manage stakeholder communications and expectations
- Strive to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction
- Resolve any occurring conflicts or issues effectively
- Assist the Scrum team in reaching higher levels of Scrum maturity
Requirements
- Minimum of 8+ years of experience within the IT industry
- At least 2+ years in a leadership position such as Lead, Manager, Owner, Architect, or Coordinator within Agile and/or hybrid environments
- At least 2+ years of experience managing teams of 20 or more employees
- Proven participation in at least 5 full-cycle projects or experience in launching major products to the market
- Deep understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Proficiency in project management techniques and practices, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize tasks effectively
- Prior experience in the financial industry, particularly within the portfolio management domain
- Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies as well as techniques to complement these in Scrum
- Team-player with a strong sense of ownership and responsibility
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments
- Self-motivated with an ability to remain focused amidst distractions
- Quick thinker with strong analytical skills
- Ability to prevent and resolve conflicts and misunderstandings
- Excellent command over English, both in speech and writing for effective collaboration and relationship building with clients and stakeholders
Nice to have
- Project Management related certification would be a strong asset
- Previous experience within the financial services sector
- Experience leading a project or company through an Agile transformation
