We are seeking a Middle Accessibility Tester to join our remote team within one of EPAM's largest accounts. Responsibilities
- Conduct accessibility testing on designated products, identifying and reporting any WCAG violations
- Maintain testing proficiency, achieving productivity and quality standards
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of accessibility testing principles
- Work closely with stakeholders in Design, Product Management, and Engineering to support testing activities throughout the product development cycle
- Collaborate with the Testing Lead to ensure timely, accurate, and aligned completion of all testing tasks
- Assist in creating and updating process documentation with subject matter experts
- Propose enhancements for testing tools, applications, and processes
- Adhere to the accessibility policies and guidelines set forth by the organization
- Keep up-to-date with the latest accessibility standards and industry trends
- Continually develop skills and knowledge in accessibility testing
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Accessibility Tester
- Proficiency in conducting accessibility evaluations and understanding accessibility fundamentals
- In-depth knowledge of accessibility standards, including WCAG 2.1 (AA) guidelines
- Expertise in using assistive technologies, accessibility-related software such as JAWS®, NVDA, and automated testing tools
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps (ADO) or similar platforms for bug logging and tracking
- Proven ability to facilitate testing efforts across multidisciplinary teams
- Experience in creating detailed test plans and scripts
- Capability to influence and define processes within testing environments
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience interacting with high-level stakeholders
- Strong decision-making skills and ability to handle ambiguous situations
- Fluent in English, with communication skills at a B2 level or higher
Nice to have
- Advanced knowledge of Azure DevOps for enhanced project tracking and management
- Experience with design tools such as Figma
- Understanding of UX Design principles to better align testing processes with user experience expectations
