Responsibilities
- Design and build connectors for Smartsheet and Asana according to established design patterns
- Manage ongoing two-way synchronization of project data, including deliverables, tasks, assignments, and timelines
- Uphold stringent security and data privacy protocols during the development and integration of user data and APIs
- Use existing connectors as benchmarks for integrating with both internal (TaskFlow) and external (JIRA Cloud) systems
- Facilitate field mapping between source and destination systems for accurate data transfer
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to define and meet project requirements and deadlines
- Improve application performance through skilled coding and comprehensive testing
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior developers
- Stay current with the latest trends and developments in Java and cloud computing technologies
- Conduct thorough code reviews to maintain high standards of code quality and compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline
- Minimum of 5 years of Java development experience
- At least one year of experience in leadership and team management
- Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), evidenced by a track record of utilizing its resources and capabilities to develop scalable cloud-based solutions and integrations
- Expertise in Java 8+ with a focus on managing heavily asynchronous RPCs
- Proficient in front-end technologies, with a strong emphasis on Angular
- Knowledge of SQL, ORMs, and ideally Spanner/Cloud Spanner
- Experience with front-end testing frameworks, such as Karma
- Proven ability to integrate with external APIs, with specific experience in Smartsheet and Asana
- Familiar with best practices in security and privacy
- Experienced in Agile methodologies, such as Scrum
- Excellent skills in project requirement definition and management
- Fluent in English at a B2 level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with other cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure
- Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker or Kubernetes
- Previous leadership experience in managing development teams or projects
