Responsibilities
- Lead the engineering team in building, optimizing, and maintaining Telephony, IVR, and other internal tools to adapt to customer needs
- Focus on strategic planning and management while delegating hands-on technical tasks
- Collaborate with product and design teams to define requirements, solve business problems, develop roadmaps, and oversee all phases of project development
- Establish and maintain precise project timelines and drive task completion
- Ensure team adherence to delivery commitments through effective sprint planning and daily stand-ups, while fostering process improvements
- Recruit, mentor, and retain a high-performing engineering team, promoting a culture of inclusivity, ownership, and excellence
- Manage team skills development, performance evaluations, and budget compliance
- Conduct quality inspections, architecture reviews, design reviews, code reviews, and security reviews to uphold standards
- Provide leadership in setting documentation standards, promoting clean coding practices, and exemplifying professional conduct
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Java Developer
- At least one year of experience in leadership and team management
- Proficient in using Amazon Web Services (AWS) for development and deployment
- Experienced with Spring Boot for backend services
- Skilled in Kotlin for backend application development
- Knowledgeable in ReactJS for front-end development
- Expertise in RESTful API development and integration
- Familiarity with GraphQL for data query and manipulation
- Proficient in automated testing with tools like Cucumber and Selenium
- Experience with Docker, Kubernetes for containerization and orchestration; Git and Jenkins for version control and continuous integration
- Usage of Kibana and Datadog for monitoring and logging
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills at a B2 level or higher
Nice to have
- Experience with AI and machine learning implementations
- Background in financial or e-commerce sectors
- Certifications related to AWS, Agile methodologies, or project management
